Jordan B. Schwartzberg, MD
Dr. Jordan B. Schwartzberg is a board certified dermatologist who practices at the Boca Raton Skin Institute. He has been practicing in Boca Raton since 2004. He performs a blend of general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, including Mohs surgery, and cosmetic/aesthetic services.
Dr. Schwartzberg has a comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology practice, having performed several thousand cases of Mohs surgery. He treats most dermatologic conditions in adults and children, including eczema, psoriasis, rashes, acne, hair loss, warts, and many others. He routinely performs full-body examinations on his patients to check for skin cancers. Dr. Schwartzberg truly cares about his patients’ well-being and is committed to following his patients through their entire treatment process. He frequently personally calls his patients for follow-up of often complex medical problems and to check on them after surgery to make sure they are comfortable.
Dr. Schwartzberg has co-authored several articles for publication and has made presentations to medical societies. He also remains an active participant in ongoing medical research. Additionally, he has performed community activities in dermatology such as volunteering at CBS 4’s “Ask The Experts” skin cancer phone bank, contributing on Fox 29’s “One Minute Wisdoms,” and lecturing on Boca Raton Educational Television. He also continues to volunteer at skin cancer screenings.
Dr. Schwartzberg graduated Cum Laude in biology from the University of Miami and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha (top 10%). He performed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Florida and completed his residency in dermatology and cutaneous surgery at the University of Miami, earning recognition for excellence in dermatologic surgery and excellence in research.
Dr. Schwartzberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Eric Bussear, MPH, PA-C
Having learned dermatology under the tutelage of Dr. Schwartzberg, Eric has been practicing dermatology for the past 13 years with a broad range of clinical expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Averaging 750 surgical cases annually, he has treated numerous skin cancers including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. He is a speaker for many pharmaceutical companies and has taught colleagues about treatments for conditions including psoriasis and acne. He is one of the leading prescribers of biologics for psoriasis in South Florida.
He also performs numerous cosmetic procedures including Botox and filler injections for wrinkles, laser treatments of brown spots and facial blood vessels, and lip enhancements, which have become his specialty.
With a total of 27 years of medical experience, including the first six years as a hospital corpsman in the US Navy, Eric attended the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. In addition to being a professor at Nova Southeastern University’s PA program, Eric is involved in dermatologic clinical research trials with the latest biologic and cosmetic treatments aimed at achieving the best results for his patients and ensuring they receive the most effective and sophisticated treatments available.
